This unit provides students with an opportunity to develop their skills in two areas that are critical to all forms of animation - the creation of textures for characters and objects, and the application of motion (animation) to characters or objects. Students will create a texture OR apply motion to a pre-existing model, but not both. Textures can be produced from any range of photographic, illustrative or other techniques. Motion can be applied by classic techniques such as tweens, ease-in ease-out, stretch and squash, roto-scoping, or a pre-existing motion capture file.
